She was found in the garden of a neighbour (thank goodness for her tag), trying to jump over a wall to come back home. We took her to the emergency vet, who x-ray'd her and kept her in overnight (immediate costs £700 - thank goodness for insurance). The pelvis will take 6 weeks to heal, but there was more concern about her bladder, and the nerve to the bladder. Anyway, the great news this morning is that she had a pee on her own overnight (which means that her bladder and the nerve are probably ok). So hopefully we can pick her up later, and tomorrow start the process of fixing her hip, which will mean 6 weeks in a cage :((.
Here's a picture of Roxy for those who haven't met her.
EDITED 07/05 : Update on Roxy - she's having an operation today. They are putting a pin in her pelvis. Hopefully she'll be home tomorrow. The specialist says it should take about 4 weeks of recuperation. I imagine that the last week or two of being stuck in a cage will be a nightmare for Roxy, and us, to handle.
